Quejas Comunes de socios de Xcaret:
- Vendedor hace al cliente que renuncie a su derecho de cinco días para cancelar, ya que la membresía que está comprando supuestamente es una oferta especial sólo un día.
- Vendedor se compromete a vender su antiguo tiempo compartido para poder pagar el nuevo tiempo compartido. Al final, el cliente es referido a una empresa de reventa que no vende su tiempo compartido antiguo y el cliente se queda embaucado con dos tiempos compartidos y la cuota de mantenimiento para ambas propiedades.

The Xcaret membership appealed to me because I already liked the idea of vacationing there. What I didn't do was step back and ask whether committing to a membership was actually better for us than simply paying for trips as we took them.
After looking at our travel habits, I'm not convinced we made the right financial decision. The resort experience and the membership contract are two separate things, and I think potential buyers need to remember that before getting caught up in the excitement.

Hotel Xcaret was the reason I became interested in the membership in the first place, so I had pretty high expectations. What changed my opinion was realizing that having access to a resort and having convenient access through a membership are two different things.
We eventually started comparing the membership costs with what it would cost us to simply book vacations when we wanted them. That comparison made me question whether committing to the program for years was actually worthwhile. I wish we had done that math before signing.
Mi decepción con Hotel Xcaret está relacionada principalmente con las expectativas que se crean alrededor de la membresía. Cuando uno escucha la presentación, es fácil concentrarse en los hoteles y en las experiencias que ofrecen y dejar para después los detalles del contrato.
Con el tiempo empecé a revisar cuánto nos estaba costando realmente mantener el programa y cuánto utilizábamos sus beneficios. Ahí fue cuando me di cuenta de que necesitaba analizar la membresía de una manera mucho más fría y menos emocional.
We went to Xcaret expecting to spend most of our time enjoying the activities, but some days felt like we were racing from one reservation to the next. There was so much available that we wanted to experience, yet fitting everything into the schedule wasn't easy.
In hindsight, we tried to do too much. Still, I think first-time visitors should know that having plenty of activities doesn't necessarily mean you'll be able to fit all of them into a few days.
Xcaret nos gustó en muchos sentidos, pero tuvimos un problema con la manera en que se manejan algunas actividades. Varias tenían horarios específicos y eso hizo que tuviéramos que reorganizar el día más de una vez.
Para una próxima visita llegaría con un plan mucho más definido. Si quieres improvisar constantemente, puedes terminar perdiendo algunas de las experiencias que querías conocer.
Xcaret has an incredible amount to offer, but I underestimated how much advance planning we'd need. We arrived thinking we'd choose activities as we went, only to discover that some of the things we wanted were already booked.
We eventually figured out the system and had a better time, but it would have been helpful to know beforehand. If you're someone who likes spontaneous vacations, don't assume you'll be able to decide everything once you arrive.
Lo que más me sorprendió de Xcaret fue que algunas actividades requieren bastante organización previa. Nosotros queríamos improvisar un poco y decidir cada día qué hacer, pero rápidamente descubrimos que ciertas experiencias podían llenarse.
Terminamos haciendo un itinerario para aprovechar mejor la estancia. El lugar tiene muchas opciones, pero precisamente por eso conviene investigar cómo funcionan las reservaciones antes de viajar.
Con Xcaret me sorprendió que tener tantas actividades disponibles no significa necesariamente que puedas hacerlas cuando quieras. Algunas experiencias que nos interesaban requerían reservar con bastante anticipación y, cuando intentamos hacerlo durante la estancia, ya no había espacio.
Terminamos reorganizando varios días alrededor de los horarios disponibles. El lugar tiene muchísimo que ofrecer, pero hay que llegar preparado para planear, no simplemente improvisar.
Xcaret is beautiful, but I wasn't prepared for how much planning would be involved. We had a couple of days where we wanted to decide our activities as we went, only to discover that some options were already full. It made the trip feel much more structured than we had anticipated.
I don't think that's necessarily a problem for everyone, but it definitely changed our experience. If you prefer spontaneous vacations, I'd recommend understanding how much advance booking is involved before you go.
