Is villa del palmar scam?

We purchased at the Villa del palamar and were told we would recieve a buyout for two of our other timeshares. We should have known better. We have since paid for our timeshare at villa del palmar$50,000. We were promised they would purchase the two timeshares and that would be more than enough to cover our initial costs.
