What is the best way to sell a timeshare?

I carry my condo on my back when I go camping. However, my brother invested in a couple of timeshares because he is a condo camper. Now, he has fallen on hard times and needs to dispose of his timeshares, but will not donate them because he has not finished his payments. Has anyone had success getting rid of their timeshares?
