Another Scam victim at Mayan Palace! If someone can help me about my case of fraud I would appreciate it. Thanks
We just got back from Puerto Vallarta 2 weeks ago and realized we fell victim to a scam also. We purchased into the Grand Paradise Club. We were told we could purchase rental property 1 year in advance for a cost of $500 for a 1 bedroom unit at any Mayan Palace Resort. When we tried to book a unit they did not even go out 1 year. They do not have any units for $500 either. We were also shown paperwork where they had "fast weeks" which if you book only 60 days out you could get property for $100 - $250 for a week. This also is not true. We purchased this on our credit card, but have not paid it yet. Is there any hope of getting out of this?
I made a terrible mistake by allowing myself to be conned into purchasing membership in Mayan Palace. The saleman told us many things that turned out to be untrue.
I have experienced the rip off with Mayan resorts. I have managed to hold off the final 16000 until August and I eve managed negotiate another contract owing only 4000 but not sure if I should go forward. I am not sure if I am being told lies again.
My husband and I purchased a timeshare in Mexico, Mayan Palace in May 2009. Part of the contract was the transfer of a timeshare that I owned in PV. To this date, the transfer has not been made and I have been dealing with collection agencies and the timeshare association for assessments and dues since 2009. I am paid up through 2010, but cannot pay 2011 and the new transfer company will not do anything until I now pay for 2011.
Went to Cancun on June 8, 2012. Approached by slick salesperson named Alfonso at airport who told us that he wanted us to visit grand Mayan just to see the place and consider renting next time we came down. Said that it would only take 90 minutes to see the property and they would then return us to our hotel. Turned out to be a very high pressure "Fractional Ownership" sales pitch. Our sales person was a lady named Toody who gave us her best shot with a very complicated scam to get us to buy. She was a complete liar, just as everyone else was. High pressure, intimidation, personal insults from a greasy Enrico. LIES LIES LIES-STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COST--THE WHOLE PROCESS TOOK OVER 6 HOURS. They finally let us go back to our hotel. this gives Cancun a very bad name. Toody is a complete fraud just everyone is there. A total disgrace to the people of Mexico
Alliance Integrated Marketing Systems ( part of Mayan Palace legally known as Comercializadora y Servicio de Turismo S.A. de C.V.; Desarrollo, Marina Vallarta S.A.d) has closed according to the BBB and has stopped responding to emails or sending out updates. However...they still answer the phone and say "for an additional $199 to become a preffered member your time share sale will be marketed differently and be put on the Top of The List!!" This subsidiary of Mayan Palace also know as Comercializadora y Servicio de Turismo S.A. de C.V.; Desarrollo, Marina Vallarta S.A.d located it's business in Laredo , TX. Therefore I'm not sure how to go about getting any money back. I will go to Mexico myself and see what I can do. BEWARE OF THE MAYAN PALACE!!
Hello,
My husband and I just returned from the Mayan Palace in Riviera Maya Mexico. We bought into their vacation club. The second we got home, we did some research and were horrified with what we found. We want out of our contract. We sent an email to cancel the minute we got home, but don't think it met the guidelines set forth in their cancelation policy. I would love some help. Thank you.
