My wife and I also entered into an agreement with Mayan Palace that Sierra Rentals would sell our Mayan Palace timeshare within 90 days or the balance on the credit cards would be refunded to us and we would be back to the dedicated week we had bought. All lies. The current person in charge, told us on the phone that such agreements are illegal and that no Mayan Palace salesperson would ever make that kind of agreement.
We attended a presentation for the Mayan palace Cancun after being offered a free breakfast. We expressed to the salesman, that we were not interested in purchasing into the Vacation Club because we already have timeshares and we use them regularly. After continuous declining, the salesman presented it as an investment and said we would make between $12,000 – 15,000. We asked if it was a guaranteed income and he said yes. After not seeing anything 5 months later. I realized what we realized what we got into. I am very frustrated at being misled and coerced into this situation.
I paid $13,500.00 down on a $35,000.00 right to use contract for 4 weeks at Mayan Palace on the gurantee they would sell our 3 existing time shares in Cancun,Vallarta and USA. After the pitch that the sale was GURANTEED we cannot get a response top our effort to terminate.
I was scammed by Mayan Palace and Sierra Resort and thought it was a lost cause to even try and take legal action. Then I just received a phone call from Priority Escrow Transfers who claim that they were the company hired by Sierra to handle the closing process. They claim they have the buyer's money in an escrow account and all I have to do is send $2,000 for "fidecomiso".... I have no idea if they are a legit company. HELP. What should I do?
we got caught up by Mayan Palace. Lots of promises and of how the investment would pay for itself. They stated that there were no annual fees, yet now I am being told that there is a usage fee that must be paid each year to use the holiday package. It seems that everything they told us was a lie.
We bought a timeshare 30 days ago from the Mayan Palace Regency Vaction Club with a $7,800 deposit. We want to have the contract cancelled before the balance of $15,500 has to be paid. did somebody know how?
Mayan Palace Scammed me. I need help getting out of my contract, everything that the salesperson said during our presentation was a lie. From telling us we could not cancel our contract or our deposit would be lost to renting our 2nd week making money and traveling on our 1st week.
We have recently purchased "Inventory", They don't call it a Timeshare, at the Grand Mayan Resort, just outside of Cancun. Is this a scam or is this for real?
ITS NOT A TIMESHARE, AND IF YOU WILL LIKE TO RENT YOUR WEEKS ITS NOT GUARANTEE, THE MONEY THAT YOU WILL RECIEVE IF IT DOES RENT IS A PART OF THE RENT TOTAL, THE DIFERENCE IT GOES TO THE TRAVEL AGENCY OR THE AIR PLANE TICKEST,ETC
But this will NEVER happen. In our 2 years of ownership and with a few different agencies apparently trying to rent out our weeks for us, not so much as a nibble. Seems odd though given we can't get a reservation ourselves at the Grand Luxxe. ALWAYS BOOKED. Allegedly always booked. When we have been able to get in (only once!!), it was like a ghost town - so I'm not sure why they are blocking or holding weeks... I'm truly not sure how they legally get away with any of this.
