What happens when you cannot pay timeshare maintenance fees?

I have been separated for 5 several years and just received two notices about Maintenance Expenses with a assortment agency. I did not get any other notices, and did not know that anything was due or not paid. The “house loan” is paid off. Will they consider the timeshare to shell out the expenses? Or will they attach to my residence or something? There is no way I can pay what they are stating is now due.
