How can Canadians get rid of their timeshare?

I'm Canadian and need help getting rid of my timeshare. I see plenty of USA based services on the internet, but can they help me get out of my timeshare too? I've called some timeshare relief agencies in both Canada and the US and they sound like a scam. Telling me everything I want to hear. But I know I can't sell my timeshare for 5K like they say, I've tried for years. When I search get rid of my timeshare, it's mostly timeshare agencies based out of the united states
